Long ago, the steel dragon was forged, born from the battle between silver and black, their fierce wounds tearing into each other. Their blood mingled in the primal flow, creating something new: a child of both, born of wrath, to stand against the darkness. Yet, young as this dragon was, its fiery nature became its downfall, leading to its demise through the betrayal of its own kin.

But even though the steel dragon existed for only a single year, the faith never perished – the faith in the steel dragon and the steel path.

The belief that a few will rise up to stand for their ideals and convictions when others remain silent.

This is a path dedicated to doing what is right, letting actions speak when words fail – and standing boldly before the light, even when it threatens to consume us.

It is not merely the path of sword and weapon, but also of iron will, and its followers come from many professions.

Yet, over the years, this path has changed. The mercilessness of old has found no place in the hearts of its warriors, now replaced by "Righteous Wrath."

"Steel" existed as its own camp only in 2006 for a single year, and the steel dragon met its end through inexperience and betrayal. Yet a spark of that faith has been preserved over the years, evolving into the "new steel path," shaped by the actions and decisions of the player community. Still, it is the mystery of the old Steel that brought us together as a community and holds a special place in our hearts.

In 2006, the Keeper called Steel into the circle with the following words:

The one who values action over words.
The one whose sword knows no mercy.
The one born of light and shadow.

This is the ancient invocation of the past, and it has been cherished in memory by Steel players for many years. From this legacy, something new emerged – a player-led project and an overarching plot, which has been embodied as the "Steel Brotherhood" for nearly 15 years. This long journey now enters a new chapter with the founding of the "Camp of the Steel Path," debuting at the 2025 DrachenFest.

This new camp has no avatar of its own. Instead, it will shape its identity through the contests ahead, drawing from the storylines and themes already explored.

The Camp of the Steel Path has no restrictions on race, profession, or playstyle. Though it may appear outwardly dominated by combat-oriented and armored groups, it offers much broader dimensions. Where would the fighters be without the strength of faith? How could they stand against enemy magic without wielding magic of their own? And where would they be without those who mend armor or heal wounds? That said, some concepts are less suited to this camp: Darker playstyles (e.g., necromancy or overt chaos creatures) may not fit easily here and would need a strong justification – or may not endure for long.

The Camp of the Steel Path stands for the protection of creation and its beings. It is a path of the present, dedicated to the second dragon world, and its members see themselves as protectors of this present time. It embodies a community ready to stand unwaveringly for one another, carrying righteous wrath onto the battlefield. Where words fail, steel will find its way with resolute action!

Yet it is not exclusively a path of light. Although many followers fall within the "good" spectrum, the path itself remains neutral. The steel warriors are sometimes willing to stray from the path of light and accept darker methods, so long as they do not endanger creation or the world of dragons.

As mentioned above, the Camp of the Steel Path is open to all character concepts. Belief in the Steel Dragon or its path is not required, but players should at least consider why their character would choose to follow the camp and its associated ideals.

We want to emphasize something important, as the Camp of the Steel Path will likely attract many fighter characters: immersive roleplay, engaging with plot, and quality roleplaying are our priorities. Those purely seeking "as many battles as possible" might find this camp disappointing.

Since this camp will debut at DrachenFest 2025, with a limited player capacity, participation must be requested in advance (application-based camp).

- Group size (approx.)
- Brief description of your group concept
- OOC (Out of Character) key details (e.g., point of contact)
- Reasons for wanting to join the Camp of the Steel Path

Additionally, please note that we plan to hold regular meetings between events to discuss further development. Each group should have at least one representative with decision-making authority who can attend Discord meetings, where future directions will also be decided. Don't worry – we know real life comes first for everyone!

Age restriction: Generally, there is no age limit, and children are welcome. However, please be aware that no specific children's program will be offered by the camp organizers, especially given the camp's smaller initial size, and we ask that this be considered when choosing this camp.
